For inside mount, a minimum window depth of 1.5" is required, and it is suggested to deduct 0.25" for installation security gap. For outside mount, the width purchased is the exact width received, and it is recommended to add 4" to both the width and height. Mounting hardware and installation instructions are included, making the process very easy.
